Marmoush Magic and Silva Strike Lead City to Crucial Win

Manchester City returned to winning ways with a 3–1 victory over Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium. It was a key result in their bid to secure Champions League qualification. Omar Marmoush opened the scoring with a sensational 30-yard strike. Bernardo Silva added a second before halftime, and substitute Nico González sealed the result late on.

De Bruyne Bows Out in Final Home Game

All eyes were on Kevin De Bruyne, playing his final match at the Etihad. The Belgian midfielder nearly marked the occasion with a goal but hit the crossbar from close range. He received a standing ovation when he was substituted in the 69th minute. De Bruyne finishes his City home career with 142 league appearances.

City Regain Control After FA Cup Heartbreak

Pep Guardiola’s side needed a response after their FA Cup final loss to Crystal Palace. This win moves them into third place in the table. They now only need a draw in their final match against Fulham to secure a Champions League spot. The return of Rodri from injury gave the home fans even more to cheer about.

Kovacic and Cook Sent Off in Heated Second Half

The match saw red cards for both sides. Mateo Kovacic was sent off for pulling down Evanilson when he was through on goal. Bournemouth’s Lewis Cook also saw red for a late challenge on González. Despite being a man down, City still managed to score their third goal, thanks to a powerful strike from González.

Bournemouth’s Late Push Falls Short

Dan Jebbison scored a consolation goal in stoppage time. But Bournemouth couldn’t recover from their early setbacks. They hit the post again, adding to their league-high tally of 23 shots against the woodwork this season. With European hopes now gone, they sit 11th in the table with one game left.
