With Hollywood Wrexham and Brady’s Birmingham City, EFL Championship ready for 46-game marathon

Interest in the EFL Championship is surging in the United States — and this season, it’s no mystery why. Wrexham’s Hollywood-fueled rise from the lower tiers of English football to the brink of the Premier League dream has been a sports story for the ages. Since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over the club, the Red Dragons have transformed from a struggling League Two side into one of the most talked-about teams in the world, with back-to-back promotions now landing them in the second tier. Their matches are appointment viewing for fans who first discovered them through the “Welcome to Wrexham” docuseries, and now they’ll be seeing the club face historic English sides week after week.

Add to that the intrigue of Birmingham City — now part-owned by NFL legend Tom Brady — and you have a Championship season perfectly built for American interest. With CBS Sports putting more matches on U.S. screens than ever before, including on Paramount+ and the Golazo Network, this year’s campaign could be the most-watched in league history on this side of the Atlantic.

EFL Weekend USA TV Guide: Your Complete Watch List

The EFL is back, and for fans in the States, there’s more live action than ever before. CBS Sports’ broadcast deal continues to deliver a buffet of matches from the Championship, League One, and League Two straight to your screen. Whether you’re riding with a promotion contender, watching a giant-killer in the making, or just here for pure football chaos, Paramount+, CBSSN, and the Golazo Network have you covered.

We’ve converted all the kickoffs to Eastern Time so you can plan your weekend right — no mental math, no excuses. Grab your coffee, your kit, and maybe a nap in between matches, because it’s wall-to-wall football from Thursday to Sunday.
