Olympique de Marseille have completed the loan move of Arsenal attacking midfielder Ethan Nwaneri until the end of the season. No purchase option has been included in the deal, the amount of which will depend on the number of minutes played by the 18-year-old.
Nwaneri made 37 appearances during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring nine goals and providing two assists. Having struggled since the start of the season, the London native has seen less playing time under Mikel Arteta, accumulating 515 minutes in 12 appearances (four starts) in all competitions.
In the Premier League, he has not been used since the Gunners’ big win over Tottenham Hotspur (4-1) on 23rd November and has not been included in the squad of the last four games.
In September 2022, Nwaneri became the youngest player in Arsenal and Premier League history at 15 years and 181 days. He remains tied to the north London club until 2030, having signed a five-year contract extension last summer.
