Bournemouth have announced the arrival of Adrien Truffert from Stade Rennais. With just a year remaining on his contract, the 23-year-old left-back has signed a five-year deal with the Cherries for a fee of €17m (including bonuses).
A graduate of the Breton club’s academy, the French international (one cap) played almost 200 games for the club and wore the captain’s armband in 2025. Having made 33 Ligue 1 appearances for Habib Beye’s side in 2024-25, he recorded two goals and two assists.
“I’m really happy and proud to join AFC Bournemouth,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity for me to keep progressing and to be part of an ambitious project. I felt the club’s confidence in me from the first discussions, and I’m excited to get started.
“It’s a dream for any player to play in the Premier League. It’s one of the best and most competitive leagues in the world. I’m looking forward to testing myself at this level, facing top players every week, and helping the team achieve great things.”
Truffert is the first summer signing for Bournemouth, who finished 9th in the Premier League last campaign, and the designated replacement for Milos Kerkez, who is expected to leave for Liverpool in the next few days.
