Lamine Yamal has won the 2025 Men’s Kopa Trophy. The Barcelona player becomes the first player in history to receive this award twice. Having already picked it up last year, Yamal has now achieved the double.
“I won’t forget my teammates, everyone helped me to be here tonight. I’ll have to keep working hard to win more titles in the future,” he said in response to his nomination.
The Esplugues de Llobregat native had an extraordinary 2024-25 season, winning the Spanish league title, the Spanish Cup and the Spanish Super Cup. With the Blaugranas, he also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, where he shone against Inter Milan.
In all competitions, Yamal found the net 18 times and delivered 25 assists in 55 appearances, including one goal and three assists in domestic cup finals and the title goal against Espanyol on the 36th matchday of the Liga season.
